Manchester United are still hunting for players with proven Premier League experience to reshape their squad this summer. According to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk (Via Man Utd News), the Red Devils are keeping a close eye on Everton star Iliman Ndiaye.

The attacker brings plenty of versatility; he can play on either wing, though he usually prefers the right side, where his directness causes real problems for defenders. Despite missing part of the season while playing for Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations, Ndiaye is still putting up big numbers with nine direct goal involvements in league play.

His ability to create chances is a major plus for the Toffees, having already set up six big opportunities for teammates while beating full-backs with an average of 2.2 successful dribbles every game. Beyond his skills on the ball, the forward works incredibly hard, chipping in with 2.3 tackles and winning six duels per match.

He’s fast enough to get back and help out the defense too, which shows in his average of six recoveries per game this season. Valued at roughly £70 million, Ndiaye looks like a team player who will suit what Michael Carrick wants to do. Carrick is the frontrunner for the permanent manager job at Old Trafford, especially if he manages to clinch a spot in the Champions League.

What should Manchester United do regarding Iliman Ndiaye?

Manchester United have a big call to make on Iliman Ndiaye as they head into the 2026 summer window with clear gaps in their starting lineup. The 26-year-old Senegal international is having a great run at Everton, where his 2025/26 season stats show six goals and three assists in 25 games. While £70 million is a lot of money, the Toffees will probably hold out for a high fee since he is under contract until 2029.

To me, Ndiaye isn’t a direct replacement for the outgoing Casemiro; the Brazilian is a defensive shield, whereas the Senegalese star is a natural winger or attacking midfielder. United definitely need more energy on the right wing, but they have to be careful not to overspend on a player who doesn’t solve their lack of stability in the middle of the pitch.

I think Everton will do everything they can to keep him unless a huge bidding war between Liverpool and Arsenal forces them to sell. If United want a goal-scoring winger who can press high, then Ndiaye is a great shout, but they need to sign a proper defensive midfielder first to protect the defence.

Manchester United urged to sign 26-year-old Serie A defender – He would be Rock-Solid at Old Trafford

United will likely make a move this summer, but they might look elsewhere if other clubs push the price way above his actual value. His consistency is his best trait, though some fans at Old Trafford might worry about his lack of experience in top-tier European competitions.
