Chelsea‘s 2025–26 season has turned into a script that nobody at Stamford Bridge ever wanted to see. The club brought in Liam Rosenior as head coach in January 2026, marking their fifth permanent manager in just five years. Sacking Enzo Maresca, the man who actually delivered a Club World Cup and Champions League qualification, sparked instant backlash from the fans.

Currently sitting sixth in the Premier League with 48 points from 31 games, the Blues are six points off the top four. With European football hanging in the balance, the fans are frustrated and rumours that some of the club’s stars are looking for a way out.

5 players who could leave Chelsea in the summer of 2026:

1. Enzo Fernandez

No one has stirred up more drama this spring than Enzo Fernandez. It started when he told Argentine media he was open to leaving after a 3–0 loss to PSG, but things escalated during the international break when he admitted he’d love to live in Madrid. Rosenior eventually benched him for the FA Cup clash with Port Vale and the City match, making it clear a line had been crossed. Now, his agent is pushing for a better contract, hinting they’ll look at other options this summer if a deal isn’t reached. Chelsea reportedly want £100m for the 25-year-old, though Real Madrid might find that price tag hard to swallow.

2. Cole Palmer

The situation with Palmer has become the season’s biggest distraction. Word is he’s frustrated with Rosenior’s new tactical setup, feeling it cramps his style, and he’s reportedly missing the link-up play he had with Nicolas Jackson (now on loan at Bayern). Under Rosenior, Chelsea have slumped to four straight losses, leaving their Champions League hopes on life support. While Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich are all watching closely, Chelsea are adamant he isn’t for sale and have already shot down interest from United.

3. Pedro Neto

The Portuguese winger cost £54m back in 2024, but his spot in the squad is no longer guaranteed. Reports from Mundo Deportivo suggest Barcelona have him on their radar, and Chelsea would likely want to at least break even on what they paid Wolves. If the club decide to overhaul their wide options this summer, Neto could easily be the one moved on to make room.

4. Liam Delap

Delap’s first year at Chelsea has been rocky to say the least. There are already reports that the 23-year-old could be headed for a quick exit, with Newcastle United, who missed out on him when he left Ipswich, rumoured to be back in the hunt. Since Chelsea only paid £30m for him, they shouldn’t have much trouble getting their money back if they decide to sell.

5. Moisés Caicedo

Emmanuel Petit recently said out loud what a lot of people are thinking. The former French international suggested that both Palmer and Caicedo might follow Fernandez out the door, noting that the team’s core looks lost and disillusioned. Even though Caicedo is on a long-term contract, the project at Chelsea is clearly stalling, and his camp will almost certainly be considering their options before the June transfer window opens.
