He scored 14 Premier League goals last season and has started this campaign strongly, with three league goals in his first four appearances before Sunday’s goalless draw with Crystal Palace. Leeds remain unbeaten after five league matches. His form has earned a recall to Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the September and October Nations League fixtures.

There are limits, though. His influence drops when he must leave the box repeatedly or create chances far from goal.
