The Bradley Barcola to Liverpool push continues as their management seeks an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain. RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins says Liverpool expect to make an offer this week, with talks continuing between the clubs. PSG initially set a £145m asking price, yet reports suggest the French side could lower its demand to £120m-£125m.
Hawkins has linked Liverpool with Ibrahim Mbaye too, and the combined package could cost about £155m. Barcola remains the target, however, and Liverpool appear ready to spend heavily to secure another elite winger this summer.
Bradley Barcola to Liverpool could reach £125m
My view leans strongly towards a deal, because several pieces now point in the same direction. Barcola produced 11 Ligue 1 goals in 29 matches and added two Champions League goals plus four assists in 16 games. His acceleration, directness and work from either wing would give Liverpool a high-level attacking outlet.
He has entered his final two contract years, has rejected an extension, and reportedly wants Anfield, while personal terms on a five-year contract already appear settled. He scored three goals at the 2026 World Cup, while Andoni Iraola needs an elite left winger urgently.
PSG have further reasons to sell. The club have spent heavily on Mika Godts, Maghnes Akliouche and Ferran Torres, which has crowded Luis Enrique’s attack and reduced Barcola’s position in the pecking order. He then sat out PSG’s 2-1 Super Cup win over Aston Villa, strengthening the sense that the manager can accept his departure. Liverpool, meanwhile, could lose Cody Gakpo to Tottenham for around £70m, creating an obvious vacancy out wide.
Bradley Barcola to Liverpool makes financial sense
Liverpool have already rejected caution on the fee. Initial approaches reportedly sat around £86m-£100m, before the club lifted its offer to €135m, roughly £115m. Consortium investment has strengthened the spending position, and PSG lowering their original £145m demand towards £125m creates a workable compromise. That figure matches Liverpool’s recent £125m Alexander Isak investment.

I expect Liverpool to finish the deal before the deadline. The sporting need, Barcola’s preference, PSG’s attacking recruitment and the club’s financial strength all point towards a final fee near £120m. Add Mbaye, and the combined package could approach £155m, but Barcola remains the key piece. Bradley Barcola to Liverpool now feels like a deal Liverpool can close.
