The T20 World Cup 2026 is scheduled to start on February 7 and will feature 20 teams. These teams have been divided into four groups, each having five teams. The top two teams from all groups will make it to the Super 8. These teams will further be divided into two groups. The top two teams from the Super 8 stage will make it to the semi-final. The final will be played on March 8.

It is the 10th edition of the T20 World Cup and will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. India is the defending champion and won the last edition in 2024. No team has defended the T20 World Cup title in any of its nine editions so far. Also, no host nation has ever won the tournament. India has a chance to achieve both milestones this year.
Which Teams Are in Group C?
England, the West Indies, and Bangladesh are in the group. All three teams qualified for the T20 World Cup after finishing among the top seven teams during the previous edition. Nepal and Italy are the two other teams in the group.
Nepal qualified for the 2025 Men’s T20 World Cup Asia–EAP Regional Final via this route. A total of nine teams participated in the tournament. Nepal had an unbeaten run, winning all eight of its matches. Nepal, along with Oman and the UAE, qualified for the tournament.

Italy have qualified for the tournament for the first time. They first won the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier A and made it to the 2025 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Regional Final. Italy won two of four matches in the tournament and finished second to qualify for the T20 World Cup.
Top 2 Teams Most Likely to Qualify from Group C
The group has England and the West Indies, who are already two-time T20 World Cup winners. They are highly likely to make it to the next round from this group. However, Bangladesh and Nepal might surprise in this group.
Nepal had a decent outing in the previous edition of the World Cup, coming close to defeating South Africa in the group stage. Bangladesh is more experienced in playing in Sri Lankan conditions and might give teams like England and the West Indies a tough fight.

Which Grounds Will Group C Matches Be Played At?
All the group C matches will be played in India at two venues. Here are the venues where Group C matches be played:
- Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
- Eden Gardens, Kolkata
Wankhede will host five of the 10 Group C matches. The remaining five matches be played at the Eden Gardens. All teams will play two matches each at these two venues.
