India continued their strong run in the T20 World Cup 2026 with a commanding 93 run win over Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. After posting a massive 209 for 9, India bowled Namibia out for 116 in 18.2 overs to stay unbeaten in Group A.

The win gives India strong momentum ahead of their big clash against Pakistan.

Kishan And Hardik Power India To 209

Batting first on a good surface, India attacked from the start. Sanju Samson played a quick cameo before Ishan Kishan took full control. Kishan smashed 61 runs off just 24 balls and hit multiple sixes during the powerplay. His aggressive approach gave India early momentum.

Tilak Varma added useful runs before Hardik Pandya played a strong knock of 52 off 28 balls. Hardik hit important boundaries in the middle and death overs to push India past the 200 mark. Though India lost a few wickets late in the innings, the total of 209 was always going to be tough to chase.

For Namibia, captain Gerhard Erasmus picked up key wickets, but the bowlers struggled to contain the run flow on a flat pitch.

Varun And Pace Attack Seal The Game

Namibia needed a fast start, but the Indian bowlers stayed in control. Hardik Pandya bowled a tight opening spell and later picked up two wickets. Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah also struck at important moments.

The turning point came in the middle overs when Varun Chakravarthy took control. He removed key batters and finished with three wickets. His variations made scoring difficult, and Namibia lost wickets quickly under pressure.

Axar Patel also joined the wicket-taking effort while Bumrah kept things tight with his accuracy. Namibia were bowled out for 116, never looking close to the target.

Hardik Pandya was named Player of the Match for his all-around effort. He said he was enjoying his cricket and felt physically and mentally ready. He also praised the bowling unit and said adapting to different pitches is part of the game.

India now sits comfortably in Group A with two wins in two matches. Namibia remain without a win and will need to improve their batting partnerships in the upcoming games.
